6/2/25 Forecast (6/2 - 6/9)
Fuels:
Despite drying over the weekend with sunny skies and warmer temperatures, the fire environment remains very non-conducive to fire spread. Last week's moisture led to improvements in drought indices and fuel moisture. Despite the recent dry trend, this week will bring a return to precipitation chances. This will continue to limit the fire environment with predicted improvements in fire danger indices through the period. Any fire will likely remain very isolated with fuels resistant to spread. Some cool season grasses are starting to mature in the east and could provide some increased fuel availability should a longer warm/dry period develop.
